Pink Owl Cafe LLC ("Pink Owl," "we," "us") runs pinkowlcafe.com. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site we collect what you type into it. That is your name, email address, and message on the contact form. On the private event form it is your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the date and size of your event, and what you tell us about it. On the newsletter signup it is your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard web server information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Your language preference. If you switch the site between English and Spanish, that choice is stored in your browser so the site remembers it. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your information.

Why we collect it

To answer your message. To respond to an event request. To send you our newsletter if you asked for it. To send you text messages if you specifically checked the box asking for them. To keep the website working and secure.

Text messages

If you check the box asking to receive text messages, you are giving Pink Owl Cafe LLC express written consent to send you recurring marketing text messages at the number you provided, sent using an automatic telephone dialing system.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only by Pink Owl Cafe and the messaging provider we use to deliver those messages on our behalf.

Email newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we send email about new drinks, events, and what is happening at the cafe. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you immediately.

Who we share it with

We use outside companies to run parts of this website and our business. They only receive what they need to do their job and they are not permitted to use it for anything else.

These include our website hosting and form handling provider, our email newsletter provider, our text messaging provider, and our point of sale provider for purchases made at the cafe.

We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Pink Owl Cafe, our customers, or others.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept as long as we need them to answer you and for our business records. Newsletter and text message subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any email.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email alex@pinkowlcafe.com and we will respond.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. No website can promise perfect security, and we cannot guarantee it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
